You are your problem and you are your solution
By no means am I a rah rah trainer who pulls out the mega phone and screams while you muscle out two more death squats. I couldn't pretend to be, I'd laugh. Neither am I a guy blessed with the worlds best metabolism, nor pretend that I never have one of my fiancee's applesauce cookies every now and again... because they are delicious. That's human and it's part of understanding balance. However, I also believe in the title of this blog. We all have our issues with success. It's a tough word to even get people to truly define for themselves. Many people don't clearly understand what they consider success. There are few who are ever satisfied with their results and keep spinning in the hamster wheel hoping someone else will stop it for them. First, remind yourself that mediocrity is not ok with things that are important to you. You are the only one who determines what affects you the most and you are the only who determines the outcome of those things. Not your mother, not your kids, not your wife, or the weather. If you're surrounded by people who don't allow you to become successful then surround yourself with different people. Only when you decide what is important in your life and take systematic steps towards improving it, that YOUR success can see its potential. Second, it's not just the people that you're around everyday it's up to you what you put in your mouth, whether you go out and have drinks, whether you get enough sleep, whether you invest in your health and fitness. You are in charge of all of those factors. Even if you are born with health complications you still decide what you do to improve it. It's all about making choices. You are your problem and you are your solution.
